Scale of fees, GOZ, the German scale of fees regulates how dental services are remunerated. It sets the minimum and maximum rates for dental work. The scale of fees for dentists (GOZ) applies primarily to contracted dental services for people covered by statutory health insurance.

Precision attachments are the connecting elements of removable prosthetics such as partial dentures. They distribute chewing forces well and look attractive. A partial denture with precision attachments requires well-preserved remaining teeth if it is to be held securely. Restorations using this technique are regarded as demanding and high-quality, but also costly.

Gingiva, the gum, which covers the jawbone and encloses the sensitive neck of the tooth.
