Minimally invasive implant placement: guided implantology

The perfect position of the implant is decisive for lasting treatment success. When positioning the implant, care must be taken not to injure roots or nerves. The depth and alignment of the implant must also be exactly right so that the restoration - crown, bridge or denture - can later be fitted precisely. Conventional X-ray images often fail to show important information. Computer-assisted three-dimensional implant planning solves this. The necessary distance from sensitive nerves and the optimal implant depth are calculated exactly in computer-assisted 3D planning. Software makes three-dimensional planning on screen possible and creates the best conditions for placing the implant more safely and more precisely. This is done using templates produced on the basis of individual 3D planning. Thanks to 3D planning, the aesthetic result can be planned exactly before the implants are placed.
